Several minifig accessories round out the set, namely two black Star Wars blaster guns and two small dark gray DC-17 style blasters, two pretend floodlights and two rangefinders (accessories that hook onto the minifig helmets). The second minifig is similar but without the separate accessories, which would make him a standard clone trooper. A Clone Trooper with a sleek white helmet with black viewport slits pattern, separate visor, anti-blast leg armor and shoulder pauldron accessories, torso decorated with clone trooper armor pattern, and a head decorated with thick eyebrows, large eyes and prominent cheek bones design. Two interesting LEGO Star wars Clone Wars minifigures come with the set as shown in the ToysPeriod LEGO reference guide. Evidently, the Star Wars repulsorlift technology has not been invented yet in reality. Two large 'blaster cannons' are positioned on the sides of the tank with the ability to rotate up or down.įinally, the model has concealed wheels to allow the tank to appear as though it is floating above the table. There are twin whip antennae on top, as well as rotating 'cannons.' There is a round hatch at the top of the tank to allow the gunner to poke his head out and have a look about. When the back hatch is opened, the chair (with the gunner in it) rises up into the turret. The chair is held in place when the back hatch is closed. The most interesting single feature of the LEGO model in our opinion is a rubber band 'spring' loaded chair on an arm that allows the gunner to position himself up in the turret. The LEGO model simulates several of the features of the 'real' tank, such as an opening 'bomb' hatch in the nose, a command room with chair and pretend computer screens, and large tilting side 'wings,' each with an opening storage compartment and missile ports. The TX-130 was armed with dual heavy laser cannons and medium sized laser turrets, as well as a score of missiles. The tank was used in many encounters where its optical zoom helped to reach out and touch targets at long range, with either Jedi or Clone Troopers (as in this case) at the controls. In the Star Wars universe, the Republic Fighter Tank, also known as the TX-130 Saber-class fighter tank, was a medium-armored, highly maneuverable assault vehicle floating on anti-gravity lifts. Build a sleek Star Wars Republic Fighter Tank with this retired LEGO set from 2008.
